MENDON STATION FESTIVAL

DATES: Saturday, September 12, 2009, 12 PM – 6 PM

Sunday, September 13, 2009, 12 PM– 5 PM.

LOCATION: Mendon Station Park in the Hamlet of Mendon, at Routes 64 & 251

Horses, horses everywhere with exhibitions, riding and demonstrations, music, Irish dancers, artists, Honeoye Falls-Lima School Scholastic Art Show and the annual parade of pets sporting tutus, headdresses and costumes highlight this year’s annual Mendon Station Festival. The festival is presented by the Mendon Foundation and features equestrian events, pony and miniature train rides for the kids, musical entertainment for all the family, over 40 arts and craft vendors selling local photography, handmade purses, jewelry, pottery and many other unique items, and the 5th Annual “Pet Parade”. Returning this year will be the popular musical acts “The Bob Squad” and “The Lehigh Valley Bones” Visitors can try their hand at games of robotics skill, see a Civil War re-enactment demonstration, and take a horse drawn wagon ride along scenic Monroe County Park’s Linear Lehigh Valley Trail. A variety of food vendors will feature hand-spun maple sugar cotton candy, homemade lemonade, premium hamburgers and hot dogs, kettle korn and chicken barbeque.
